find the derivative of y= (x^2 +4x) / (3x^2+2)^4. Express answer in reduced fraction.

y= (x^2 +4x) / (3x^2+2)^4

= (3x^2+2)^4 (2x + 4) - (x^2 + 4x)( 4(3x^2 + 2)^3 (6x) / [(3x^2 + 2 )^4]^2

= (3x^2+2)^3 [(3x^2 + 2)(2x + 4) - (x^2 + 4x)(4)(6x)] / [(3x^2 + 2 )^4]^2

= {(3x^2+2)^3 [(3x^2 + 2)(2x + 4) - 24x (x^2 + 4x)]} / (3x^2 + 2 )^8

Please tell me if this is the right answer to the following question, I have worked out the problem....thank you...SORRY I HAD POSTED ON ALGEBRA BEFORE.

Looks great. Did you note the common factor in the numerator and denominator?
