Need help with pre calc

I,m high school pre calculus student, and on our first week my teacher swamped us with homework. Because there is alot of kids in our class, he can't always awnswere all of my questions. If someone could help me I would really appreciate it. My first question was actually how to show a problem on this website.

Copy the problem from your book or worksheet or class-notes - put a pithy title of the post

Show your work or thoughts about the problem (also indicate what level of math are you tackling - at least for first few posts)

Tell us exactly where you are stuck (be specific).

And that's it - one of us will help you in few hours (it takes time becuase we are all volunteers and and busy doing other stuff.....)
