Need help with e

I'm guessing this is t=e^(x) + 2 and not t=e^(x+2), but please clarify.

Also, since we have only one equation and two variables, we cannot find a numeric value for x. It will be in terms of t.

clarification

Yea...the original problem was actually how I initially wrote it :
If t= e^(x+2) then x=?
And yes, the answer is in terms of 't'...I can get the answer(a key)...I just have no idea how to get the answer...
Thanks for the help Daniel

The equation is t = ex+2.

Take the natural log of both sides to obtain: ln(t) = x + 2.

Now solve for x.
