Need help with breakiing down the cost of an item

Thanks in advance for those that are taking the time to help me with this.
I want to break down the cost of a roll of Bubble Quilt Film

The Roll itself cost $128.00 U.S. Dollars

It's 656 feet long and it's perforated every 6 inches
656 feet is 1312 inches. so by my calculations the cost is .0975 per 6 inches.

Does that sound correct?

Sorry, i did skip a step
Your correct it is 7872 inches. I divided that by 6, as in a 6 inch sheet of the bubble quilt which gave me 1,312 individual sheets measuring 6 inches. That's where the 1,312 number comes from

Always try to see if your calculations sound reasonable. Lets under estimate by using 600 instead of 652 and 10 instead of 12. Well 600*10 = 6000. So the answer is more than 6000 meaning your calculation must be wrong!

Depending on "how many significant digits" you want to carry - the answer should be 0.09756 or 0.0976 or $ 0.1
