I need to work out how many carbohydrates are in certain amounts of food that i weigh.

So if i know how many carbs are in 100g of each food and i have a certain amount of grams of a food, how many carbs does it contain?

So, lets say theres 8.5 grams of carbs per 100 grams of avocado, how many grams of carbs are there in 60 grams of avocado?

Is there one formula/equation i can use if i just plug in the amounts? I know i should've listened in math class, but oh well.

Thanks for any help.

Thank you so much for the reply and the helpful link, unfortunately, i just don't have the time at the moment to study, i really need more help with getting my problem solved, as its pertinent to my job and time is of the essence here.

I would be most grateful to anyone that could help me further. Thanks again.

If we're going to do your job for you, will we be getting your paycheck, too? ;)

So does anyone know how to go about this? if none here knows how to do it, i have no chance lol..

Please, i really need help with this, if anyone can it would be much appreciated. Much thanks.

There's load of us. But we're here to help students learn. If you'd like to learn how to do your job, that's great. But we'll need to see some effort on your part. And, as was explained earlier, we really cannot provide hours of lesson instruction within this environment.

By the way, if you're just looking for somebody to do your job for you, then what you're looking for is not a volunteer, but a sub-contractor. ;)

Sorry i should have been more clear, my job does not depend on this, but working this out would make life a little easier.

And if you haven't been able to tell by now, i'm pretty much math illiterate, except for basic stuff i learned in school. So as much as i (and you guys would like to see me)would love to be able to work this out by myself, i just don't have the knowledge to.

So do i have to beg, can anyone, please, help me with this? Please? I don't know how better to ask or make it clearer?

Again much thanks, and ANY help is highly appreciated.

Lets do a similar problem.

To make 2 cakes you need 5 cups of sugar.

How many cups of sugar you would need to make 7 cakes?

One way t d this:

2 cakes need 5 cups of sugar

1 cake needs \(\displaystyle \frac{5}{2}\) cups of sugar

7 cakes need \(\displaystyle \frac{5}{2} \times 7 \ =\ \frac{35}{2} \ = \ 17\frac{1}{2}\) cups of sugar

Does that make sense?

Now follow the exact same procedure.....
