Need help w/ 2/3 g2 1/3 and 4/5 g 3/11 (g is a fcn)

I am enrolled in a virtual high school and am having trouble with a couple of problems on a worksheet. I have requested help from the instructor but so far have not had a response. So please help if you can.

The first problem is:
2/3 g2 1/3

The second one is:
4/5 g 3/11

I do not understand what the function of g is in either problem.

How you're supposed to determine a function from a string of characters (a fraction, a letter, a number, and another fraction, in the first exercise), I have no idea! :shock:

I'm afraid that, lacking any other information (such as what on earth you're supposed to do with the character strings, or how the bits might relate to a function), you're stuck waiting for your instructor to clarify what is expected of you. Sorry!
