i don't know how to figure this out:

Let f={(-3,4),(-1,0),(0,2),(3,5),(4,1)} and g={(-2,-1),(-1,0),(1,2),(2,3),(3,4),(4,5)}

determine
g of f(x)= ____________________

f of g(x)= _____________________

of do i start it

To find (g o f)(x) = g(f(x)):

. . . . .Plug x into f.
. . . . .Find the corresponding y-value.
. . . . .This is your new x-value.
. . . . .Plug x into g.
. . . . .Find the corresponding y-value.

For instance, g(f(-3)) = g(4) = 5.

The definition of (f o g)(x) = f(g(x)) works similarly. Just trace through all the x-values from f to find (g o f)(x), and trace through all the x-values from g to find (f o g)(x).
