Hey guys!

First time poster here. So my math skills arnt so great but I want to learn as much as possible. I'm currently trying to work this equation, sorry for the bad quality http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/4c0e...ar1/public/base/shared/default-avatar-204.png

I would much appreciate if anyone could identify these symbols or if this doesn't even belong in the Intermediate/Advanced Algebra section. If anyone could explain what this equation needs to get the answer that would help me a lot. I believe the answer is 11 numbers...not to sure. I have a whole heap of values I could use to try calculate this but I really have no idea where to start.

Are you saying that you have sets of values to substitute for the question marks, and you would like to find the resulting expression for y?

Are you talking about 11 digits, when you write "11 numbers"?

Is this homework?

Here is a link to a summary page of the forum guidelines.

Please provide the requested information.

Thank you.

Sorry for not being detailed enough.

Yes im saying I have sets of values to substitute for the question marks, and yes I would love some help finding the expression for Y.
I have a few clues that Y will have 11 digits in the result. No this isnt homework im not a student. This is just a puzzle me and some friends are trying to work out for a game.

My clues are:
-Somewhere in this equation you may need to use these combination of numbers- 1123581321 which is the first digits in the Fibonacci sequence.
-Fibonacci's golden ratio 1.61803398875
-The greek letter 'X' which is 600 in Greek Numerals

Please reply with the full and exact text of the exercise (or "puzzle"), and provide a scan of (or link to) any required graphics. Thank you! ;)
