need help finding midpoint of segment from (-1,7) to (3,-3)

The teacher didn't go over this during class, yet she gave it to the class for home work. Which doesn't make too much sense.

Directions: Find the coordinates of the midpoint of a segment with the given endpoints.

Problem:
J(-1, 7)
K(3, -3)

If some one could please explain to me how to do this it would be very much appreciated. :mrgreen:

Which online resources did you review, when attempting to figure out the formula to use? (It's a fairly simple formula, readily available, so you shouldn't still be confused, is why I ask.)
