need help combining like terms!!! Please help

Well, combine them!
What if you ran through a market and found this:
48 sheep
12 cows
10 cows
45 sheep
Could you summarize your findings with just two numbers?
Math isn't just farm animals, but the idea is the same. Those things that are the same, combine them. Those things that are not the same, don't combine them.
48 + 12n - 10n - 45 = 18
12n - 10n = 2n <== These all have 'n's in them.
48 - 45 = 3 <== These all are just numbers.
2n + 3 = 18
