A. is running with the speed of 3 3/4 kilometres per hour. How much time does he require to reach a goal at the distance of 8 3/4 kilometres?

What do you think? How might such a question be answered?

If one proceeds at 3¾ kph for 1 hour, how far does one get?
 
I am not a student myself. I am asking this question on someone's behalf. If I had a little knowledge of maths I might have taught him myself but sadly its been ages since I studied basic things in school and I have almost forgotten everything.

We request that that someone contact us directly (showing work/thought) - so that we know where to begin to help.

Otherwise we might have to start with the definition speed and 'kph' - and that might waste lot of time!!

If you can't help please dont give an advice. Not everyone posting here is from US or some rich country. Not all children around the world have access to internet or digital devices. These question were sent to me by one of my acquaintances on whatsapp, who wanted to help the kid in his homework.
I think there are other forum I will get help from elsewhere.

No, that's not how it works. If you cannot present the problem with sufficient clarity, there is no point to posting to any forum.
