Use the calculator to compute the value of
2 + 1/2! + 1/3! + 1/n! for n = 4.
Then compare the result with the number e.

I found the answer to be 2.708333333.

How do I compare 2.708333333 with the number e?
 
On your calculator there ought to be a button e<SUP>x</SUP>.
Use it for x=1. You will see a value of e.

I found the value of e. However, what does it mean to compare my answer to the number e? Compare it in what way?

What does it mean to compare two numbers?
That answer to that is not mathematical!
Rather it is common sense!
