I deleted a controversial thread that I started; HallsofIvy brought this to my attention, by questioning the content. I'm posting my response here.
Halls, I misinterpreted your previous post. That's my bad.
I regret the misunderstandings; the guy spoke absurdity, and I don't agree with any of his justifications, well, what I perceived as nonsensical excuse. He said a lot of things, Halls ... I cannot remember it all ... there was problem students, cultural wall (or resistance?), broken homes, there were some inner-city statistics, he suggested more community support, and something about parts that schools have to accept (the reality?). I remember it as a ludicrous blob, from someone who almost seemed recalcitrant.
I clearly did a poor job expressing the level of absurdity -- the outrageous extent to defer -- and I see now that racial undertones recalled between lines when the lines are no longer at hand is actually something that I myself would not "expect from an educated person".
My post about that newspaper article is a mistake; I will remove all of it. Such topics (even vague references) are not appropriate on these boards. I apologize to everyone who is offended.

PS: Changed my mind; the entire thread needs to go; it's just not funny, anymore.
