Forget you ever heard of "multi-step" or "two-step". Obviously, these terms discourage you. EVERYTHING is a SINGLE-STEP process. EVERYTHING! How do you solve this? x/6 = 5 How do you solve this? y-2 = 30 How do you solve this? 4z = 28 Think about these three equations. Think about your original equation. Tell me if you should care if it takes more than one step.
