Hi, I'm kind of new here(to this site), so please be patient as I get the hang of things...I really need help with this. Here's a problem I'm doing:

(x+7)(x2 5x-9) ***the x2 means the 2 is the exponent of x

I would really appreciate it if you could show me how to do these!!! Thanks a million!!!

You cannot use "FOIL" (mentioned in your subject line) to multiply anything other than a binomial by a binomial. So that would not apply here.

How to multiply polynomials should have been covered in class and/or in your book, but if not, there are plenty of online lessons that will show you how to do them. For instance:

. . . . .FreeMathHelp: Multiplying Polynomials

. . . . .Ask Dr. Math: Multiplying Polynomials

. . . . .Paul's Online Notes: Multiplying Polynomials

. . . . .Regents Prep: Multiplying Trinomials

Once you have learned the general technique, if you have difficulty with this exercise, please reply showing all of your steps.

Thank you.

Eliz.
