The rule for exponents is that, when multiplying the same base, you add the powers. That is: x^mxⁿ = x^m+n. So you would need to add the one-third powers, not multiply them.

Also, what do you mean by your "^9" notation? And how did the nineth root turn into a square root?

Also, did you convert from powers to roots because the instructions said something like "express your final answer in radical form"?
