I have tried every way that I know how and I can't seem to come up with the right answer.
this is the problem: -3(4-9)2. First I tried subtracting 4-9 which gives me 5 then I did the exponent 5*5=25 and then -3(4)=12.
which looks like this: -12-25=13. The book says that the answer is -75 can you please tell me how they that answer? Thankyou.

\(\displaystyle Is \ that \ (-3)(4-9)(2)?\)

\(\displaystyle If \ so \ then, \ (-3)(-5)(2) \ = \ (15)(2) \ = \ 30\)

\(\displaystyle However, \ if \ that \ is \ (-3)(4-9)^2, \ then \ we \ have \ (-3)(-5)^2 \ = \ (-3)(25) \ = \ -75\)
