2) 3(y - 9) = 30

3) 8(2c - 1) = 56

please show me how to do these

Do you know how to solve "5x = 25"? Do you know how to solve "x + 3 = -2"?

THAT IS EASY
1) 5(x + 2) = 20

2) 3(y - 9) = 30

3) 8(2c - 1) = 56
three of them are seperate problems right
1) 5x + 10 = 20
2) 3y - 27 = 30
3) 16c - 8 = 56

now just subtract the number from both sides ...which has an add sign next to it
and add the number to both sides .....which has the subtract sign next to it
after that you'll have : a number next to the letter = the number...so divide the NumberLetter with tthe NUMBER..and get the letters value..
easy as that.
