Hi i need to find the LCM of the following numbers:

6 and 20

For this type of question, I recommend you research it yourself by reading the book -- a wonderfu resource!

Factor each number:

6 = 2*3 This means the LCM must have at least one 2 and one 3 as factors.
20 = 2*2*5 This means the LCM must have at least two 2s and one 5 as factors.

Combining this information, the LCM must have two 2s, one 3, and one 5:

LCM = 2*2*3*5 = 60

If the answer to the question was in the book i wouldnt of ended up here.

CVHS, what wjm is telling you is STUDY USING YOUR BOOK in order to learn
how to do these problems; in other words, get off your duff :shock:

A nice site for such things can be found at purplemath.com
