Good Evening,

I coach junior cricket (ball game) in New Zealand. I need to know the answer to this I need to tie a length of string together to form a circle (boundary marker) that is 28 meters from the center to the sides. Could someone please calculate and get back to me with what the length of string would need to be?
Much appreciated

Mark is way off as usual :shock:

If the radius is 28, the circumference can be found by using C = 2?r.
C = 2?(28) ? 175.929... or approximately 176 m.

I figured, "close enough for an Aussie".

New Zealanders are Aussies, too, sort of ... right? I mean pragmatic, no nonsense types. Quick 'n dirty, blue-collar, rugged, down-to-earth ... certainly not like the British who would bring a centimeter rule to the cricket field.

Well, who watches cricket anyway? More boring than Canada AM :shock:
