I thought I had this function thing reletively down, but this question has me stumped! This is how my math homework stated the question:

All of the following ordered pairs satisfy the function rule y= -2_x - 1 exept______

a). (-2, 3)
b). (0, -1)
c). (2, -5)
d). (-1, -3)

Please help me find out how to get the answer! Thanks for the help!

Hint:
(x,y) = (-2,3)
y = -2x - 1
3 = -2(-2) - 1 ?

im not following your hint yet. I do know now though, that the answer is not a. 1 more hint?

Just complete the darn thing:
3 = 4 - 1
3 = 3 : capish?

I figured it out now. The correct answer is d. Thanks alot!
