For readers feeling ho-hum about hockey or cricket today, this 39-second video shows a clever beach-soccer goal. (I'd wind up in spinal traction, were I to try such a mid-air contortion.)

Watching that second video makes my back hurt, too.

Amazing athletics! :D

One comment I saw following that:

I'm a Pakistani and I've stopped watching Cricket

[I only watch] one or two Overs if nothing good is coming on TV

The poor fellow is clearly contradicted. I hope that he gets better.

the irony is ... [about twice as much time] is spent in watching, say, field change, watching the bowler leisurely walking to his startup, Over change, you get the picture...

Cricket lack the passion of football [in sub-continent and regions like west-indies].

Yes, I get the picture.

The Pakistani finds 35:65 action:non-action ratio ironic. So?

He seemingly chooses to watch the non-action vs fixing a lovely beverage; perusing the latest copy of Popular Mechanics or Smithsonian; enjoying conversation; et cetera. (He probably doesn't like fishing, either.)

He does not like a sport if it lacks the passion of football in the sub-continent and regions like the West-Indies.

I mean, really. I hope that he gets better.

this ain't boring

That is definitely not boring!

Neither is it civilized nor sportsmanlike. :p

(I certainly hope that there are no little-league-type hockey organizations.)

To each their own, but I can not even enjoy hockey without fights. Where is the puck? I can rarely see it. Can't figure out where to expect its location.
