Danny and Ben spent a total of $3450.Ben and Calvin spent a total of $5130.Calvin spent 5 times as much as Danny.How much did Calvin spend?

Since you posted this to "Arithmetic", I'll assume that you're not familiar with algebra (variables, solving equations, etc). Instead, try this:

If you subtract "Ben and Danny" from "Ben and Calvin", you'll have subtracted out whatever Ben spent (because he's in both totals). You'll be left with however much more Calvin spent than did Danny.

You are told that Calvin spent five times as much as Danny. That means that Calvin spent five "chunks" of money, each of which was equal to Danny's one "chunk". The difference is four chunks.

How much is four chunks? Then how much is one chunk? Then how much is five chunks? Then how much did Calvin spend? ;)
