A beam is hinged to a wall at bearing of 70 degrees. Another force (F Newtons) is attached to the other end of the beam at 90 degrees to it, going in an anticlockwise direction. The beam is 4N in weight and is 5m in length. Find the magnitude of F?

Could someone please get me started , perhaps with a diagram. Thanks.

Draw sketch.

Assume static equilibrium

Draw free-body diagram.

Apply ΣM = 0 at the hinge.

Solve for F.
