I solved this equation, but got the wrong answer.

Find the maximum and minimum values of the fuction f(x,y) = 2x[sup:3w443jv5]2[/sup:3w443jv5]+3y[sup:3w443jv5]2[/sup:3w443jv5]-4x-5 on the domain x[sup:3w443jv5]2[/sup:3w443jv5]+y[sup:3w443jv5]2[/sup:3w443jv5]?9.

The maximum value of f(x,y) is: _____________

List the point(s) where the function attains its maximum as an ordered pair, such as (-6,3), or a list of ordered pairs if there is more than one point, such as (1,3), (-4,7). __________________

Please show us your work (even if you know it is wrong), and exactly where you are stuck - so that we know where to begin to help you.

Find the maximum and minimum values of the function f(x,y) = 2x^2 + 3y^2 - 4x - 5 on the domain x^2 + y^2 \le 9.

The maximum value of f(x,y) is: 26

List the point(s) where the function attains its maximum as an ordered pair, such as (-6,3), or a list of ordered pairs if there is more than one point, such as (1,3), (-4,7). (-2,(5)^.5)

The minimum value of f(x,y) is: -7

List points where the function attains its minimum as an ordered pair, such as (-6,3), or a list of ordered pairs if there is more than one point, such as (1,3), (-4,7). (1,0)

These are the answers that I figured out, but i know that one of them is wrong

I figured out that this is the part of my answer that is wrong, so what is the right answer?

To find the mistake in your work - we need to see your work.

Please show us - how did you go about finding the min/max of the problem.
