Good Morning , this is my problem and i have difficulty in solving it
2 3/4 - 1 6/7 x 8/13 ÷ 2 1/3

this is how i did it
1 6/7 x 8/13 = 13/7 x 8/13 i canceled 13 and 13
8/7 ÷ 2 1/3 = 8/7 x 3/7 = 24/49
2 3/4 - 24/29 = ?????? :( :( :?

multiplication sign now *, division now / ; so: 2 3/4 - 1 6/7 * 8/13 / 2 1/3

SAFER to start by changing to fractions where applicable, PLUS use brackets for clarity:
(11/4) - (13/7) * (8/13) / (7/3) ; follow that?

order: multiplication, then division, then subtraction;
so you have to start with (13/7) * (8/13) :
(13/7) * (8/13) = 8/7 : the 13's cancel out; OK?

Next is (8/7) / (7/3):
(8/7) / (7/3) = (8/7) * (3/7) = 24/49 ; rule: (a/b) / (c/d) = (a/b) * (d/c) : remember?

Finally is (11/4) - (24/49):
(11/4) - (24/49) = (539/196) - (96/196) = 443/196 = your answer!
Note: in above, 196 is the LCM of 4 and 49 : remember?
