What can you show if n = 1?

Did you work out the cases for n = 2 and n = 3? Did you get any ideas by doing so?

I don’t know what theorems you have available that might be relevant to use in such a proof, but you were given a hint, which has a fair likelihood of being relevant.

[MATH](1 + x)^z = WHAT \implies (1 + x)^{2n} = WHAT[/MATH]
