Hey i missed some classes doing a play , and i missed a class on ferris wheel questions . Now i have recieved a tips assignment , and don't know what to do. Here's the question:
A popular ride at amusement park is called the "Ring pf Terror" . It is like a Ferris wheel but is inside a haunted house. Riders board a platform at the center of the "ring moves counter clockwise. WQhen a rider is moving above the platform , he or she meets flying creatures and when the seat desends to a level below the platform, creatures emerge froim a murky, slimy pit. The radius of the ring is 8m .

a) Graph the height of the rider with respect to the platform through three revolutions of the ride.
b) Create an equation to model the motion of a person in the ride.
c) How would your graph and equation change if the ridergot on the ride in the pit, at the bottom of the ring?Explain

Please give me an answer as soon as possible , thanks!!

Do you just want the answer, or would you like to see how it is done?

thanks , but i still need to understand how you got that answer so that i can understand for other problems.

The question is vague. I'm going to assume the rider starts by going up and takes T seconds to go around. It's speed is 2*pi/T radians per second.

a) it is three cycles of a sine wave.

b) the radius is 8 so the position is
y = 8sin((2*pi/T)*t)

c) At t=0, y=-8. A sine wave shifted 90° is a cosine.
y = -8cos((2*pi/T)*t)

There are different ways of writing the equations but this works.
