Write the following expression
(x + 5)/(x -6) + (x + 2)/ (x - 1) - 1
in the standard form of a rational expression:

I have made a equation after solving it & the equation is
(x^2 + 7x - 17)/ (x^2 - 7x +6)
now I can easily break the denominator but I am not able to break numerator. So, please help me!

You might want to re-check your numerator...I got something CLOSE, but not exactly what you have.

And sometimes quadratic trinomials DO NOT FACTOR over the integers, so maybe your rational expression will be in simplest form.

I am sorry by mistake I have write 17 but actually the equation that I encountered is
(x^2 + 7x - 23)/(x^2 + 7x + 6)
now please tell me how can I solve further.
