Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum.

Math is not my forte & I'm having difficulty figuring out how much is owed to me from this company & the amount of money I have to return to them.

I'll try to explain the situation as clearly as possible & I appreciate all of your help.

1. I was supposed to buy Google Voice (GV) Credits. I first started buying them in blocks of $10, then I switched to $50 blocks when I was sure they were going to pay me back. They were to reimburse me for these GV credits.

2. They were to pay me $.39 cents for every minute I spent on the phone. The 9 cents was for my time, the 30 cents was for the Google Voice per minute charge (I was calling the UK).

Suddenly they stopped the work & he wants $50 returned to him, as he paid me twice this week.

Here is the breakdown I have:

I spent 456 minutes on GV (I checked the history, there may be 3 mins. the code didn't work) x $.39 cents which comes to $177.84 - $150 for the purchasing of the GV credits.

Also, there's still a GV balance in my account of $13.20 which I want back because I have no need for these credits.

If we take the balance of $177.84 - $150, it means I would only have made $27.84 profit, yet 456 minutes x .09 cents per min. is what I'm supposed to be making profit. That comes to $41.04

They paid me $225.50.

I'm very confused why I'm getting different results (the $27.84 vs. the $41.04) & what I have to give back to them since I want that $13.20 given back to me.

I hope you understand me :)

Thanks

Michelle

Who is "they"? Under what terms were "they" going to pay you back? (Why did they not buy the credits for themselves? Why did they need you as a proxy?)

2. They were to pay me $.39 cents for every minute I spent on the phone. The 9 cents was for my time, the 30 cents was for the Google Voice per minute charge (I was calling the UK).
Why are "they" paying you to chat with family or whoever?

Suddenly they stopped the work & he wants $50 returned to him, as he paid me twice this week.
Who is "he"? How does "he" relate to "they"? Under what terms did "he" or "they" pay you this week? In what amounts? What were the contract terms?

I spent 456 minutes on GV (I checked the history, there may be 3 mins. the code didn't work)...
What "code" maybe "didn't work"? How does this relate to the situation? How do you know that there were only these three minutes of malfunction?

How is "profit" coming into play? On what are you making a "profit"? What are the contract terms for this profitable interaction?

...yet 456 minutes x .09 cents per min. is what I'm supposed to be making profit. That comes to $41.04

Why are "they" paying you when "he" is supposed to be paying you?

What, exactly, are you talking about? What, specifically and completely, were the contractual terms (for each of the agreements: you and Google, you and "them", you and "him", and whatever three-way you had with "them" and "him")?

Thank you.

It's ok, someone else helped me out.

I had forgotten to add the remaining GV credits to the $27+ hence the confusion.

Thank you
