Okay for my Algebra 2 class we are currently on the chapter of Quadratic Equations. On this worksheet I have it says to find the square root of:

108x^2 = 147

I am not really sure how to work this problem out. Please help? And another problem I do not understand is :

4x^2 - 2x - 30 = 0

for this problem above I saw that it could be turned into :

2(x^2-x-15)=0

but after that I am stuck because I have to find two numbers that are factors of negative 15 but also add up to negative 1? And I can't think of any or I am not sure if what I did was incorrect?

Please help.

108x^2 = 147
x^2 = 147/108
x^2 = 49/36

continue…

4x^2 - 2x - 30 = 0
2(2x^2 – x –15) = 0
2(2x + 1)(x – 3) = 0

continue…
