Which quantity has the best unit price? From the buyers or sellers point of view?

Divide the quantities by the unit prices.

The lowest result is the "best from the sellers viewpoint, giving only 26.66 units per dollar.

The highest result is the "best" from the buyers viewpoint, getting 47.62 units per dollar..

Parking lot:
Multiply the length in feet by the width in feet to derive the area in square feet.

Divide this result by 9sq.ft./sq.yrd to derive your answer in square yards.

"unit price" is the price for ONE unit.

For example, if the price of 8 boxes is $4.80, then the price of ONE box (the unit price) would be the total price divided by the number of units...$4.80 divided by 8, in this example. 4.80/8 = 0.60, or $0.60. The unit price in this example is $0.60 (60 cents) for 1 box.

To calculate the unit price, divide the total price by the number of units. If the price of a 16-ounce jar of peanut butter is $2.80, then the peanut butter costs you $2.80/16 ounces, or $0.175 (about 18 cents) for one ounce. The unit price, then, is $0.175 per ounce.

As a consumer, you may be looking for the LOWEST unit price for the same product.
