I think that what looks like a 1 in that equation is the small letter L and that you want to solve for l. What I don't understand is why this is "algebra 2". It looks to me like an "algebra 1" or even pre-algebra problem typically given school children about age 12 or 13. In any case, do you know what "l+7l" is? Would it be easier if it were a+ 7a or x+ 7x? What about "an apple and seven more apples"?l-2+7l=10
please help me!!!
