I do not understand word problem logic
1in =12 ft Store front frontage of 82 feet :?: how many feet long will the line representing the store front be on blueprint?

Just use a proportion. Cross multiply to find x:

\(\displaystyle \L \;\frac{1}{12}\,=\,\frac{x}{82}\)

strange question ... it asks for the length of the store frontage on the blueprint in feet.

(82 ft)*(1 in)/(12 ft) = 41/6 = 6 and 5/6 in

(41/6 in)*(1 ft)/(12 in) = 41/72 ft =approx 0.57 ft
