accum 20,000 invested 13,500 interest rate 5% compounding #2

20,000(1+0.05/2) exponent 2x?

I come up with 7.9 am i correct
 
Correct. t = 7.9587...

Not sure what you did; should start with: 20000 = 13500(1 + .05/2)^(2t)

Rounded to one decimal place, t (or x, or whatever the time variable is supposed to be) is 8.0 .
