Write the expression as a sum and/or difference of logarithms with all variables to the first degree.

1. log 6r^2s^5 (the 6r is squared and the s is 5 squared)

use

\(\displaystyle log(a^b) \, = \, b\cdot log(a)\)

and

\(\displaystyle log(a\cdot b) \, = \, log(a) \, + \, log(b)\)

The previous reply correctly pointed out the log rules that you need to use. For worked examples of how this works, try here.

If you get stuck, please reply showing how far you have gotten. Thank you! :D
