Hello this is how far I've gotten...

Evaluate the expression:

log 2^4.5
2

how do i evaluate this one :oops:
 
Well, this is true:
\(\displaystyle \L
\log _2 (2) = 1.\)

If you are referring to the subscripted "2" below the text line containing "log", then one may either use the LaTeX "underscore" command, or use HTML and the "<sub>" and "</sub>" tags, so that "x<sub>1</sub>" displays as "x<sub>1</sub>".

The "<sup>" and "</sup>" tags function similarly.
