logarithm check please

okay i havnt posted on her in a while but im doin surprisingly well in pre calculus (107 average last time i checked) anyway we have exams friday and i was doin the study guide. reviewing logs and i think i may have gotten a wrong answer. could you guys check it for me and tell me if its wrong so i can redo heres the log

log 12+ log (7x+16)=log 16

and i got x= -44/21 only reason im asking is cause it looks wrong and im fuzzy on logs. thanks anyone

log[12*(7x+16)] = log 16

[12*(7x+16)] = 16

84 x = - 11*16

x = -44/21 <<<<<< You are correct
