i have an active software project in development. It requires someone to understand and work with analytics from many different sites and create algorithms for the programmer to integrate into the site so that users will be able to see data presented in a simple format.

This is way beyond my knowledge and we are looking for someone to join the project and work with us to complete our goals.

We hope to launch the software soon and this could be quite lucrative but this should not be your motivation for joining the project. If we sell the software and if it makes money there will be rewards but we may give it away or may only charge enough to cover server costs.

FreeMathHelp is exactly as advertised: a free-access math-help site, where volunteers surf by as they're able, giving of their time and experience to help struggling students. This is not a paid programming subcontractor service.

No need to apologies and thank you for looking at my post.

I understand what the site is but there may be people using this site who would like the idea of working on a project using their skills and getting involved in a software project. I am not offering to pay anyone a fee, I am not looking for a business partner, I am looking for help. The level of Maths required is way above my understanding and I will not be able to get the project off the ground without help from someone with a solid understanding.

In my experience there are a lot of people with different skills sets looking at different sites, your opinion of who will see my post is based on your own views and I hope that others will see things differently, especially if they look into the project, see the reasons I started to create the project, find out more about it. I had also hoped that people may be intrigued and maybe collaborate to solve what is literally a massive problem.

Can it even be done? What solutions can we come up with? A puzzle if you like.

I hope this is read as written, calmly, no malice or aggression, just an explanation.

Actually what about this

How about I pose my question differently.

I have a lot of data that I need to manipulate and extract specific information from to present to a user that will give them a clear understanding of what they are seeing. A snapshot of the whole if you will. What would be my starting point?

For your information, I am intelligent but was "a very naughty boy" (Python fans only) so was put into a remedial class at school, this was a long time ago so calling it that was OK. I literally have no way to know where to start with this data, I have created a spreadsheet to get some of the information I need but I really can't move forward alone, is there anyone interested in having a look at this data and telling me what I should be doing next?

I am developing a piece of software to help others, despite my needs it may still be given away for free if we can build it for free. I broke my back in 2005, I have spent ten years just trying to find something to do with my life. I felt like I had with this project yet, I need help and, the response from everyone here is so negative it really makes me wonder why I bothered.

I think this is definitely not the forum for me but I wish you all the best and I hope that if you ever needed my help I would certainly be a lot more sincere and willing to listen than anyone I have encountered here.

As explained previously, yes, the volunteers here on FreeMathHelpdo offer help: they offer math tutoring help for struggling math students in math classes. We do not provide on-demand programming services or free software-development.

Thank you for explaining that your (you-hope-quite-profitable) project is morally superior to the genuinely free help for students that is provided here. :roll:
