1. Suppose u= [1 2 3], v =[ 4 5 6] , w = [7 8 8 ], and A = [ u v w ]. ( justify answer)

a) are u, v, s liner independent?

b) do u v s span R^3 ?

2. Suppose U and V are linearly independent, but U, V, W are linearly dependent, show that W is a linear combination of U and V.
