Which Functions are linear transformation from R^4 to R^3 and why?
I. T(a,b,c,d)=(a^2,b^2,c^2)
II. T(a,b,c,d)=(2a,b+1,c)
III. T(a,b,c,d)=(a+3b,d-b,c)
I have no clue how to answer this...I am lost Please help!
I suspect very strongly that you have a DEFINITION of a "Linear Transformation" somewhere in your textbook or other course materials. Please provide that definition. Then we can go on.
