Linear Equations: Solve by Graphing

I am trying to solve the equations for my assignment but I am not sure how the formula is set up.

Here is my attempt:

y= -3
y= -2x +1


x:2,0,-2
y:-3,1,5
(in table form)

I am confused about the next step needed to solve the formula, and if I am using the right formula for Solving systems of equations using graphing. I am ailso confused if y=-3 is another equation that i need to use to find a different line or if it's the immediate solution for y in the equation?

y=-3 is a line parallel to the x-axis and three units below it.
y=-2x+1 is also a line. It passes through the point (0,1) and (1/2,0).
Draw the two lines. The two lines intersect at the point which has the x and y coordinates of the solution to the original two equations.
