Anybody help solve this problem?

A shopkeeper orders a total of 40 pounds of cashews and peanuts. If the amount of cashews he orders is 36 pounds less than the amount of peanuts, then how many pounds of peanuts does he order?

c + p = 40
c = p - 36

If you can't follow that, see your teacher.
