To clear the fractions, multiply every term by the Least Common Multiple of the denominators 6, 2, and 3 (that LCM would be 6) ...

6(7/6)x - 6(3/2) = 6(2/3)

7x - 9 = 4

add 9 to both sides ...

7x = 13

divide both sides by 7 ...

x = 13/7
