Find the limit as y->0 of ((x+y)^2-x^2)/y

I can do the hard stuff, but am reviewing for a final exam and can't remember how to do this.

How do you get y out of the denominator?

The limit expression reduces to \(\displaystyle 2x+y\)

\(\displaystyle \L\\\lim_{y\to\0}2x+y\)
