The question is: find a and b so that
lim ((ax+b)^(1/2)-1)/(x) = 1. how do I find a and b?
x to 0

Re: Limit

First note what happens if you try finding the limit in general. You end up with \(\displaystyle \frac{\sqrt{b}-1}{0}\). So let \(\displaystyle b=1\). Now you can find a specific limit, which will provide the value for \(\displaystyle a\).
