Every 7 years the Finch family has a family barbecue. Every 6 years they update their family tree. If they both had their family barbecue and updated their family tree in 1997, in what year will both events occur again?

My brainstorming:
First I found the least common multiple of of 7 and 6 which was 42.

7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49
6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42

Then I added 42 with 1997.
1997
+ 42
_____
2039

I got the answer 2039.
The year both events will occur again is in 2039.

I did the steps. I am not sure if I did the steps correctly. Please check my answer and tell me if I did anything wrong. Thanks a million!
