x/(x^2-1)= 1/(2x-2)-2/(x+1) ??

what are steps to finding restrictions?
2(x+1)(x^2-1) ?? is the LCD?

x/(x^2-1)-1(2x-2)+2/(x+1)=0
2(x+1)(x)-x^2-1+2x^2-2
3x^2+2x-3=0

(3x-3)(x+1) = 0

x=1 x=-1

is this correct?

I'm sorry, but I don't follow. Does the above contain multiple different questions, or is this all one question?

Thank you.

if you get that as the LCD of x / (x^2-1) = 1 / (2x-2) - 2 / (x+1) ,
then you're not ready for this; see your teacher/tutor.

no the top = problem

if you look down a little i wrote:

and it is one question w/ my work. solving for x.
