The first thing you should notice is that we need to see your work to see where you are getting stuck.
For #1, the first thing to do is draw the picture. The window is at some unknown height above the ground, and you need to draw two angles - one up to the bird and the other down to Emily. Once you have put all the numbers you know on the picture, you should use what you know about trig functions to continue.
#2 is again a picture with two right triangles, with Zane's eye the common vertex. Pick the numbers out of the problem - don't let the excess verbiage gets in the way.
