Hello, I'm new here, and I have a big math test coming up tomorrow so please answer/clarify this question ASAP!

Simplify:***All numbers after the letter is considered an exponent.***

(8n
2-2n3)+(6n3-8n2)
=8n2-2n3+6n3-8n2
=8n2-8n2+2n3+6n3
=8n3

IDK how but the correct answer is 4n3.

Simple mistake -- your \(\displaystyle -2n^3\) became a \(\displaystyle +2n^3\) for no reason. If you simply fix that mistake it works out fine!

=8n2-8n2+2n3+6n3 Somehow minus 2 became plus 2
=8n3

IDK how but the correct answer is 4n3.
\(\displaystyle (8n^2 - 2n^3) + (6n^3 - 8n^2) =\)

\(\displaystyle 8n^2 - 2n^3 + 6n^3 - 8n^2 =\)

\(\displaystyle 8n^2 - 8n^2 - 2n^2 + 6n^3 =\)

\(\displaystyle - 2n^3 + 6n^3 = 4n^3\)

\(\displaystyle (8n^2 - 2n^3) + (6n^3 - 8n^2) =\)

\(\displaystyle 8n^2 - 2n^3 + 6n^3 - 8n^2 =\)

\(\displaystyle 8n^2 - 8n^2 - 2n^2 + 6n^3 =\)
Obvious typo: that "\(\displaystyle -2n^2\)" should be "\(\displaystyle -2n^3\)"

\(\displaystyle - 2n^3 + 6n^3 = 4n^3\)
